We are situated on a Shooting Estate in SW Scotland. Here we work our dogs and have the freedom to roam the estate to a certain degree, they can stretch their legs over all types of terrain, forest roads, deep woods, open moorland, rivers, and small lochs everywhere.
Great for training in the 'off season' its where our dogs are trained for work, and easily become familiar with their work place and the diversity of game on the estate greatly helps. There are Roe, Sika and Chinese Water Deer, even a White Hart who is always absent when I have a camera. The usual feather is to be found here too so never a dull day for the dogs.
We have come from a diverse 'doggy' background, from the smallest breeds to some of the largest, we have been involved to some extent or another in Doberman's, GSD, there has been a breif moment in Great Danes. Rough Collies have been in the family for decades as have CKCS, working Springers and Border Collies and the occasional Jack Russell and cross bred terrier. So from Grandparents and beyond we are fully saturated in all things 'doggy', we have been around working dogs, showdogs and breeding kennels all our lives. However we dont claim to be experts, we are always learning.
All our dogs live indoors and as we have children they are obviously reared around them ensuring the fantastic temperament that has already been bred into our dogs.
Our dogs are fed on a mixture of two thirds raw feed and one third good quality complete dry kibble, we feel that there are good points for each, and the mix works for us. Eventually we will fully commit to a raw diet for our dogs once we are satisfied with the outcome of eliminating the manufactured feed completely.
